Do you think a relationship between a surgeon and a fireman could work out?

I just want to know because a fireman has busy hours and a surgeon works long hours too. so it doesn't really matter if it's a surgeon and a firefighter it could be anybody. So the real question is " Do you think a relatiionship between two hard-working people that bearly see each other can last a lifetime?"
