Sincere question: What's up with the reduced Medicare coverage in the Senate-ped health bill?

I hope to get an actual answer to my question. I'm way too lazy to read a congressional bill and I don't understand what the senate is proposing to do about Medicare. Could someone briefly explain this without childish name-calling and partisan bickering? What are the pros and cons of this bill in your mind? I BEG you, try to answer without insulting those with whom you disagree!
