Is that true the christian wives should be submissive to their husbands because the Bible?

My husband ONCE used the SUBMISSIVE word on me and he & I never forgot THAT unfortunate moment!!!!!!!!!! I submit ONLY To God - not to any MAN. Being united and equal with HIM is what makes a happy & successful marriage.
