Do liberal Christians substitute government coercion for benevolence and temptation for charity?

I have to agree. Although I am in favor of a safety net for the unfortunate and those truly unable to work, or elderly and sick, I think the majority of government giveaway programs are full of fraud and there are those who "work the system". It's sad that many of the politicians such as Obama who want to impose trillions in taxes (cap and trade) don't even give to their own poor relatives. Obama's aunt is living as an illegal alien in a Boston housing complex, paid for by us taxpayers -- not by him, although he's a millionaire. For someone who is supposed to be so caring, why is Obama's Kenyan aunt not cared for in a nice apartment by Obama and Michelle and given a job -- she's 56 and not unable to work! But he would rather let the taxpayers help his relatives. You will know them by their fruits! Sorry to offend anybody, and I do pray for Obama.
