Adderall 10mg xr after having gastric byp?

I just started on Adderall xr 10 mg this morning. I'm 29, and just diagnosed with add. Took one when I woke up this morning, hoping I would jump out of bed with some energy...then got up about 45 minutes later. I feel absolutely no difference. Good, bad or indifferent. Though I have to admit, I don't know what I should be looking for....? So, I took a second one about 1.5 hours later. The doctor said to start off at 10 and then try taking 2 to see if I feel differently a few days before our next appointment (which is about a month away). Anyway, I'm just trying to figure out if the 10mg is just a weak dose, or if it might be my body chemistry. I had gastric byp in 2003 and I wonder if I'm not absorbing it? She said the gastric byp may make it less absorbed or more absorbed. I'm thinking less....should I try to sprinkle it on applesauce tomorrow? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks
