Why do birds sing so early in the morning?

It depends on the bird. For example in my area we have mocking birds. Mocking birds often sing all night long. Most of the time it is a male that has not found a mate. After it has a mate it will spend most of its times building next. I think Mocking Birds typically have around 6 nest.
