they eat salads. I dont mean with dressing and everything, but they will eat lettuce peppers, tomatoes, cuber, and other garden grown vegtables. you can also feed them fruits. if you do have a garden, makesure not to get any pesticides on the veggies. also, the tortouses are friendly, they wont bite, but dont handle them too frequently. a nice alternative is to just take him out of his pen and let him crawl around.
