Isn't it time to end the wholesale persecution of Reformed Former Offenders?

They can be reformed, i know a few that have. The current laws go way too far, and actually go against treatment. The key to rehab is having a successful job, steady place to live and people for support....our laws take all that away from these guys. The laws themselves are just politically based, its far from proven whether they actually work, i think they do more harm than good and drive the real threats underground. I believe its the offender NOT on the list which is the one society needs to worry about. Less than 5% reoffend, we are currently punishing people for crimes they "might" commit, and thats unconstitutional, even for a offender.
