Finding it hard to see the point?

Look man, I've been there. Most teenage guys have been there. There are definitely good ways to get friends who aren't idiots and burn-outs. My freshman year was like that too. My friends were idiots and there was nobody that got me.(as nerdy as it sounds) I joined the marching band, it was definitely a good step. If you say you enjoy music, you should give it a shot. People in the band are usually the nicest people you'll meet in the school. It's a good way to make friends who aren't all stuck up and high school clones. And who knows, I'm sure you will meet some cute girls too. I would say that would be a good thing to do, it worked for me!
